By confirming a reservation, all guests agree to follow the policies and guidelines listed on our website at https://bashawlakeresort.com. This includes (but is not limited to) rules regarding quiet hours, visitor limits, fireworks, pet behavior, deposits, and general conduct.
Policies may be updated from time to time, and it is each guest’s responsibility to review the current version before arriving.

Standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m., and check-out is by 9:00 a.m. To ensure a smooth transition between guests, we ask that these times be followed unless other arrangements have been made with us in advance. Please contact us ahead of time if you need a different check-in or check-out time. We will try to accommodate when possible.

All rental charges and fees are due at check-in. We prefer cash or good check. Debit and credit card payments are accepted with a 5% fee. Please note: This summary is for convenience. The terms of the signed rental agreement at the time of booking control.
Cabin Deposit Policy
To confirm a cabin reservation, we ask for a $50 deposit paid in advance by check. This deposit is non-refundable, but it may be applied to a different stay within the same calendar year (January 1–December 31), subject to cabin availability. We do not accept credit card payments by phone, text, or email for security reasons. We reserve the right to waive the advance deposit with the total amount due at check-in.
Swimming Disclaimer
Swimming in the lake and off the Resort’s docks is at your own risk. There are no lifeguards on duty. Guests should exercise caution, supervise children closely, and be aware of natural hazards such as changing water depths, underwater obstacles, and varying weather conditions.
Weather and Wildlife Considerations
Bashaw Lake Resort is located in a beautiful natural setting where weather and wildlife are part of the experience. While we hope for pleasant conditions during your stay, guests should be prepared for rain, wind, insects, and other natural elements. Wild animals such as coyotes, birds of prey, and other local wildlife are present in the area. We recommend supervising pets closely and securing belongings, as the Resort cannot be responsible for any interactions with wildlife.
Due to the nature of the environment, we are unable to offer refunds or cancellations due to weather conditions, including extended periods of rain. Thank you for your understanding and for embracing the unique outdoor experience Bashaw Lake Resort offers.
Pet Policy
We love welcoming guests and their pets to Bashaw Lake Resort. To ensure everyone has a comfortable and enjoyable stay, we ask that all pet owners follow a few simple rules. These guidelines help us accommodate pets while respecting the needs and safety of all our guests.
Fireworks Policy
We understand that fireworks are a fun tradition for many guests, and some small items like sparklers or novelty fireworks are permitted, provided they are used safely, respectfully, and in accordance with local laws and fire safety conditions.
However, larger fireworks, loud aerial displays, or anything that poses a fire risk, disturbs other guests, or is not legal due to state or local law, and especially when used where alcohol is involved, are not allowed. Fire danger levels can vary, and we reserve the right to prohibit all fireworks during dry conditions or at our discretion.
If you're not sure whether something is okay, please ask first. Guests who set off fireworks in a way that is unsafe, disruptive, or inconsiderate may be asked to stop immediately or leave the property without refund. We're happy to recommend nearby public displays during the holidays.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is not allowed inside any of the cabins. If this policy is violated, an additional cleaning fee of $250.00 will be charged.
Guest Responsibility to Follow Laws and Regulations
All guests are expected to familiarize themselves with and comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws during their stay. This includes fishing licenses and regulations, fire safety rules, boating rules and regulations, hunting laws, and any other relevant requirements. It is each guest’s responsibility to ensure they are following the law. The Resort does not provide legal advice or regulatory guidance and is not liable for violations.
No Hunting on Resort Property
Hunting is strictly prohibited on all Resort property. This policy is in place to protect the safety and well-being of all guests and staff. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
