5th Annual Christmas Lights Walk 2025-2026
Each year at the Resort, we host a Christmas Lights Walk running from mid-November through early January. The walk covers a little under half a mile and features thousands of Christmas lights, animated displays, a nativity scene, lights synchronized to music, a walk through the woods, a light tunnel, laser lights, and more. There are over 100 floodlights and spotlights placed throughout the display.

If you plan to attend, we ask that you text us at 262-202-9201 with the night and time you expect to arrive. This helps us monitor the number of people who will be here. Parking is available along the north side of Lakeview Church Road (the side opposite the Resort). The walk begins at the top of the driveway. When time allows, we offer guided tours.
There is no charge to attend, but we do ask visitors to consider making a donation to the Salvation Army.
At a leisurely pace, the full walk takes about 15 minutes. This is an outdoor activity after dark and includes walking down a gravel drive and along a wooded trail. The path includes rough and uneven areas, especially in the woods. Depending on weather conditions and snow accumulation, parts of the trail may be slick or slippery. Visitors are welcome to bring a small flashlight and should dress appropriately for winter weather and walking outdoors at night.
Flashing lights are used at various points, and there are laser lights as part of the display. Please do not look directly into the source of the lasers.
The walk includes a tunnel with 1,600 moving LED lights, a musical light show with hundreds of synchronized incandescent and LED lights, a nativity scene, laser effects, animated displays, and other features. Near the end of the walk, guests will pass through a small indoor section with additional displays inside our farm museum and multipurpose room. The rest of the route is fully outdoors.
WINTER CABIN AVAILABILITY 2025-2026
Cabin #3 at Bashaw Lake Resort is available for rent throughout the 2025–2026 winter season, offering cozy accommodations for up to six guests. The cabin features a divided bedroom with two double beds and a sleeper sofa in the living area. It includes a full bathroom with a shower and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffeemaker, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a winter getaway in northern Wisconsin. Cabin #2 will also be available for part of the winter.
The cabin is comfortably heated, providing a warm retreat after a day spent enjoying winter activities such as snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, or exploring nearby trails. Bashaw Lake Resort offers a peaceful setting for those looking to experience the beauty of Wisconsin’s winter landscape.
Rental rates are $500 plus tax per week or $100 plus tax per day, with a minimum stay of two nights. The cabin will be available over holiday periods, but please note that check-ins are not permitted during November 27–30, December 22–26, or December 30–January 2. WELCOME TO BASHAW LAKE RESORT
Bashaw Lake Resort is nestled on the quiet shores of 170-acre Bashaw Lake in Burnett County, Wisconsin, just outside of Shell Lake. We offer four fully furnished, well-equipped housekeeping cabins for nightly rentals (two-night minimum) and weekly stays, perfect for family getaways, fishing trips, or a peaceful northern Wisconsin retreat.
In addition to our lakeside cabins, the resort features RV campsites with water and 20/30/50 amp electric hook-ups. Campsites are available for nightly, weekly, monthly, or seasonal rental, making Bashaw Lake Resort an excellent option for both short visits and extended stays in northwest Wisconsin.
The property covers nearly 12 wooded acres with more than 900 feet of scenic lake frontage. All guests enjoy access to the resort’s piers, waterfront, and shared amenities. Highlights include a fish cleaning house, multiple docks for fishing and boating, and a family-friendly playground.
Cabins and campsites will be available beginning the second full weekend of May 2025. Bashaw Lake Resort is conveniently located within 15 to 20 minutes of Shell Lake, Spooner, and Siren, Wisconsin, and just 45 to 60 minutes from Hayward, putting you close to small-town charm, restaurants, shops, and outdoor adventures.
